INSPIRE is now replacing SPIRES
SPIRES front end at all mirrors has been switched off.
INSPIRE is now in full operation and supersedes SPIRES.
Web of Science and new Internet Explorer
Thomsons Web of Science is incompatible with the new Internet Explorer 9 shipped with windows 7. If you search, no results are displayed. To solve this use the "compatibility View": On the result page click on the "broken paper" next to the address bar at the to top of the browser window or add "webofknowledge.com" to the Compatibility view list under "Tools->compatibility View settings".
Acquisition of books
To buy books for your group please do not use e.biss yet. Instead please fill out our forms for book or magazine order and send it via email to library.zeuthen@desy.de.
Access to our EBook Library (EBL) is now available!
You can read any EBL Ebook for 5 minutes for free.
Whenever you lend and / or download an Ebook the DESY library will be charged per item.
We have one Sony Reader for Ebooks in our library office.
